All WordPress plugins and themes distributed through PECS Global are licensed under the GNU General Public Licence v2.0 or later ("GPL"). The GPL is the same licence under which WordPress itself is distributed.
Section 4 of the GPL v2 explicitly states: "You may copy and distribute verbatim copies of the Program's source code as you receive it..." Section 1 permits distribution of exact copies. Redistribution of GPL-licensed software is a fundamental right granted by the licence, provided redistributed copies carry the same GPL licence. PECS Global does not circumvent or override the GPL — we exercise the rights it grants.
